To keep it in the best possible working order, it needs to be taken care of, regular maintenance will keep you and your VP215 working happily. Below are a few helpful tips to keep your user experience positive and help you take care of your chamber vacuum sealer. 1. How to Fix an F1 Error Message One of the most common error codes on the VP215 is the F1 code, it usually indicates that the lid latch is in the lock position. To get rid of this code simply turn the unit off and remove the lid lock. It is important to remember that the unit should always be turned off when you remove the lid lock. 2. How to Drain Oil When you have been using your machine for a while you will need to change the oil, after roughly every 500 bags or 25 hours of use. Before adding the new oil, it is important to first drain out all of the old oil. *Please be sure to dispose of oil in a safe manner that complies with all local, state and federal laws. 3. How to Add Oil You will need to add oil to a new machine, or once you have drained the old oil from a used machine. Fill the oil until the oil view window is about half full, this will be approximately 3 oz. of oil. |
