Spring Cleaning and Seasonal Wardrobe Change
It's time! The seasons are changing and once again I find myself doing the seasonal wardrobe swap! Now that winter seems to have taken its leave, and we're seeing warmer and sunnier days, I'm ready to pack up all my sweaters and free up some closet space for my spring and summer garments.
As you may or may not remember back in September I mentioned that last spring I packed away some of my sweaters in a vacuum bag (the kind you stick your vacuum hose in to suck out the air) and sealed others using my VacMaster PRO380. Unpacking them this fall I found those sealed with a vacuum sealer held their vacuum much better, so this year, that's how I will be packing all of them. On top of my wardrobe switch I also use this time to pack away any decorative items with a fall or winter feel, flannel sheets goodbye! It's time to bust out the light blankets.
I like to perform this seasonal wardrobe swap while I undertake my spring cleaning. Spring cleaning is my biggest undertaking of the year; every item in my one bedroom townhouse gets taken out and cleaned. Behind and under every piece of furniture, the inside of all my cabinets and drawers, gets a thorough wipe down. At the end of it, I am exhausted but always feel so accomplished.
Do you have a spring cleaning ritual? Does your vacuum sealer factor into it? We'd love to hear about it in the comments below!
